Chizzie Brown is of a handful of Drake alumni that currently teach at Drake. She feels it is important to give back to the community that raised her, saying, "...there are lots of exciting and innovative things going on at Drake." Chizzie stresses the importance of establishing a learning environment where students are motivated to learn for learning's sake, and aspire to continue. Before re-arriving at Drake, she majored in English at Cal/Berkeley, and isn't afraid of displaying her Bear pride. Although she feels that living is teaching, outside of class, she does enjoy sports, tennis, and cooking.
